Dear Parents,

            Welcome to the 2008-2009 school year!

            Our goal is to provide your child the best possible learning experience.  Like you, we hold high expectations for our students and ourselves.

            Effective home-school communication is essential for us to meet our mutual goals.  We will keep you informed through student progress reports, parent-teacher conferences, classroom and school newsletters, individual notes and calls, and our Parent Pack.  When you have a question, concern or suggestion, please contact teachers before or after school or call me any time at school, 293-3149, or at home after hours, 293-8458.

            You are encouraged to be involved in your child’s education through participating as a volunteer in the classroom, library or school office.  As well, we urge you to be active in the Island View PTA. 

Our Island View handbook is designed to provide you and your child a ready reference concerning the school’s philosophy, procedures and activities, and is available on our website.
